Falafel
Makes 1 tray, about 12
Overnight soak
- 1 cup dry chickpeas in a quart jar full of water
- Place in fridgerator for 24 hours
- Rinse
Ingredients
- Soaked chickpeas
- 1 onion
- 1 cup green of choice (parsley, cilantro, spinach, ect)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp citrus of choice (lemon, lime, orange, ect)
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
- 1 tbsp oil of choice (olive, coconut, ect)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400f
- Add all ingredients to blender
- Blend on high until smooth and textured
- Shape into small patties or balls (about 2 inch in size)
- Place on pan
- Coat or spray with oil (to make for crisp)
- Bake for 10 min
- Flip patties
- Bake for 10 more minutes
- Remove from oven and let cool
