Rice (pasta style)
Notes
1/3 cup / 70g = 1 serving
1/2 cup / 105g = 1 large serving
Ingredients
- 1 part dry rice
- 4 parts water
Directions
- Add water to pot and boil water
- Add rice
- Reduce heat to med-low
- Brown Medium/Long Grain: 30 minutes
- Brown Basmati: 14 minutes?
- Turn off heat, rinse, cover and rest for 10 minutes
Rice (stovetop style)
Ingredients
- 1 part dry rice
- 2 parts water
Directions
- Add water and rice to pot
- Heat to boil uncovered on high (about 3 minutes)
- Reduce heat to mid-low for brown / Reduce heat to low for all others
- Cover
- Cook 40 min for brown / 20 min for all others ( see time adjustments below )
- Turn off heat, let rest and steam, covered for 5 minutes
