Mustard
Notes
- Mustard seeds ( least spicy / white or yellow, semi-spicy / brown mustard, most spicy = black)
- Mix yellow and brown mustard seeds
- Warm water = more mello, cold water = more spicy
- adding vinegar stops the spicy reaction with water (longer the spicier)
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp brown mustard
- 2 tbsp cold water
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Optional
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (honey mustard)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder, onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin, paprika, dill
Directions
- Blend mustard seeds
- Add water to ground mustard seeds
- Stir water into ground mustard
- Let sit for 5 minutes
- Add 1/4 cup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Put into sealed container
- Let sit on counter for 1 day
- Put if refridgerator
- If too thick add water
