Mustard


Notes

  • Mustard seeds ( least spicy / white or yellow, semi-spicy / brown mustard, most spicy = black)
  • Mix yellow and brown mustard seeds
  • Warm water = more mello, cold water = more spicy
  • adding vinegar stops the spicy reaction with water (longer the spicier)

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp cold water
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Optional

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (honey mustard)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder, onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin, paprika, dill

Directions

  • Blend mustard seeds
  • Add water to ground mustard seeds
  • Stir water into ground mustard
  • Let sit for 5 minutes
  • Add 1/4 cup
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Put into sealed container
  • Let sit on counter for 1 day
  • Put if refridgerator
  • If too thick add water
