Baozi
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 can chickpeas (140g)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
Dough
Teriyaki Chickpea Filling
Directions
- Dissolve water and sugar
- Add remaining dough ingredients
- Mix into dough
- Cover and let sit while filling is made
- Smash chickpeas with fork
- Put filling ingredients in a small pot and simmer
- Continue simmering until all sauce is absorbed
- Get steamer ready
- While water heats to boil add filling to dough
- Cut dough into 4 parts and flatten
- Put filling in and close up
- Spray bottom of steamer with oil
- Place dough steamer and steam for 15 minutes
- Remove and let sit for 5 minutes
