Hickory Lentil Soup v2

Hickory Lentil Soup (Version 2)


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 onion
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup green lentils
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp tumeric
  • 1/2 tsp parpika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • (16 drops) 1 tsp liquid hickory
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar / wine
  • 1 tbsp vegetable bullion

Directions

  • Add oil, onions, carrots and celery into pot
  • Cook on medium for 5 minutes
  • Put all ingredients into pot
  • Turn heat to medium and heat to simmer
  • Cover with lid with a small gap and reduce heat to low
  • Cook for 30 minutes
  • Turn off heat and remove lid
  • Let stand for 15 minutes
  • Serve
